DRILL CORE
Specialized core drills, like our Discovery and Hydracore series of core drills, are specifically designed to remove a cylinder of material and bring it up to the surface for analysis. This cylindrical piece of rock is called the 'core', or 'core sample.'
Core can be drilled in different sizes, however most of our core is drilled to NQ2 and HQ Standard. Our auger drills (Pioneer and ETR Tractor-mount) do not yield core, instead they provide soil sampling that is of the BTW Standard.
